These days, looking at on-chain data has been a bit frustrating… Others think "on-chain is the real-time truth," but in reality, what you often see is a "delayed version" pieced together by nodes/RPCs/indexers. For the same large transfer, I see it first, but my friend’s side only shows it after more than ten minutes, and I thought I saw it wrong. Turns out, his RPC was stuck + the indexer didn’t keep up.

To put it simply, the on-chain data hasn't changed; what changes is the speed of your access point and filtering methods. Especially during extreme funding rate situations, when people in the group argue about whether to reverse or continue squeezing the bubble, I instead check the data sources first: whether a certain dashboard is delayed, or a node on a specific chain is lagging. Otherwise, emotions tend to follow the "late on-chain" data, which can easily lead to misjudgments… I’ve fallen for it too. For now, I’ll switch to two more RPC providers tonight to compare.
