Golden Finance reports that on May 25th, Coinbase Europe's policy head Katie Harries stated that the company is not worried about the growing competition from traditional Wall Street financial institutions because the grassroots community support that the crypto industry relies on is something Wall Street cannot replicate.
Coinbase said that its initiated crypto advocacy organization "Stand With Crypto" is the world's largest crypto industry advocacy group, currently with 3.7 million members, who have collectively sent over 2.5 million contacts and initiatives to legislators.
However, a recent CoinDesk survey shows that only 1% of American voters list cryptocurrency as their most concern.
Coinbase executives believe that the global Stand With Crypto event held during "Bitcoin Pizza Day" indicates that "crypto voters" have become a long-term political force, and governments around the world need to push for reasonable and coordinated regulatory frameworks as soon as possible.
