The mainland meteorological department predicts that southern Anhui will experience heavy to extremely heavy rainfall from May 24 to 27.
The Ministry of Emergency Management and the Ministry of Natural Resources have conducted joint consultations and assessments, believing that the risk of geological disasters in southern Anhui is relatively high.
On the 24th, a Level IV national geological disaster emergency response was activated for the area.

The Ministry of Emergency Management requires that relevant regions closely monitor rainfall, flood conditions, and geological disaster risks,
Implement departmental coordination and joint response mechanisms,
Solidify local responsibilities for prevention and response,
Enhance consultation, assessment, early warning, and response coordination,
Pre-position rescue forces, supplies, and equipment,
Strengthen patrols, inspections, monitoring, and early warning,
Decisively organize evacuations to avoid danger,
And effectively carry out geological disaster prevention and response work.

The Ministry of Emergency Management will also continue to maintain Level IV emergency responses for geological disasters in Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Chongqing.
