Lately, I've seen people fixate on whale addresses and want to follow their trades.
Let me give a cold shower first: think carefully whether they are building a position or hedging.
On-chain, it looks like "buying," but it might just be the other side opening a short position, using spot as insurance;
if you blindly follow in, you're essentially taking on their volatility, and in the end, you might think you've been "washed out."
I've done this stupid thing before—following a large entry, only to find the next day that they moved their position to hedge, leaving me with only emotions.
Honestly, big players are more about risk management than betting on direction.
By the way, recently, the cycle of inflation + studio + coin price spiral in on-chain games has been brought up again with criticism,
but it's quite similar to this: superficial excitement, underlying accounting.
Anyway, when I see "whale moved," my first reaction isn't excitement, but to look for where the other position is.
That's all for now.
