Seeing a bunch of screenshots of large transfers on the chain, and then someone starting to interpret the movement of exchange hot and cold wallets as "smart money"... It looks quite lively, but when it really comes to cross-chain actions, I tend to calm down first, and keep my finger on the confirm button a little longer, waiting a few more minutes.

Cross-chain bridges, to put it simply, are like entrusting your assets to a group of gatekeepers: Are the multi-signature signers sufficiently decentralized? Do they all belong to the same company? Who is actually feeding the data reported by the oracle? If there's a delay or a "alignment" issue, the arrival time can change from "immediate" to "maybe forever." So that phrase "wait for confirmation" is quite meaningful to me. It's not procrastination; it's giving myself a moment to reconsider, and leaving a window on the chain to detect anomalies. Moving slowly isn't a shame; what’s shameful is the naivety of thinking that crossing over is automatically safe.
