Lately I've been messing around with IBC / cross-chain stuff again. To be honest, every time you cross over, it's not just "Chain A to Chain B"—you're actually trusting: that validators on both sides won't mess around, that light clients / relays won't go offline or transmit false data, that the contracts / modules on the target chain aren't maliciously written, plus whether the bridge itself has multi-signature or admin backdoors... Thinking about this makes me want to skip it altogether, but I still get itchy hands.

In the group these days, people are again discussing stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and screenshots of "de-pegging," and as soon as emotions run high, everyone starts switching chains to dodge risks. Actually, when it comes to cross-chain, you should be more calm: are you just swapping assets, or adding a bunch of trust points you don't even fully understand?

I've now developed a habit: if I can stay within the same ecosystem, I won't cross; if I must cross, I do small, batch transactions. I accept higher fees, at least I sleep better... Anyway, I’m cheap with my words, but when a new chain launches, I still can't resist trying it out.
