The word "modularization" is being talked about as if it were a universal truth, but honestly, the most intuitive changes for ordinary users are just two things: transactions/interactions become cheaper and faster (sometimes even more laggy and more mystical), and the set of "chains" you use is actually assembled from parts. When problems occur, don’t just blame the main chain; it could be the ordering layer, data layer, bridges, or the frontend failing. Security is also more like "shared responsibility"; the benefit is that issues aren’t all concentrated in one place, but the downside is that accountability and the evidence chain are longer. For someone like me who loves internal disputes, that’s actually an opportunity to write about...

Recently, everyone has been obsessing over staking unlocks, token unlock calendars, and the anxiety is as intense as paying rent at the end of the month. Modularization doesn’t eliminate sell pressure anxiety; it just makes "who is selling, where they are selling, and what layer the incentives correspond to" more complicated. Anyway, whenever I see a new L2 or new rollup, my first reaction isn’t “how advanced is the technology,” but rather: if something goes wrong, don’t make me go to Discord to ask for help, it’s just too exhausting.
