Actually, everyone understands that the "tags," "clustering," and "smart money" on-chain look very impressive, but truly trusting them to place orders is a bit risky.


These days, I’ve been reviewing data and came across several address profile tables, discovering that the attribution of the same batch of addresses on different platforms can vary quite a lot:
Some are just the same gas fee payment/batch aggregation, but are called big whales;
Some exchange hot wallets are considered "fund inflows" just after a transfer.
Not to mention the attention shifts caused by memes and celebrity shoutouts, where the final push often relies on the illusion of "someone is buying."
Anyway, I now treat address profiles only as clues, used to filter out obvious noise.
When it comes to actual decision-making, I still go back to the simplest questions: where did this money come from, why did it come, and can it still move?
