Do you really think putting all your assets on an exchange or in a hot wallet will keep you safe forever?

I'm not here to scare anyone; I just saw recently the attention shifts between Meme and celebrity shoutouts, with seasoned players advising newcomers not to take the last step. I casually remembered: the more emotional you get, the easier it is to neglect security.

My personal feeling is this: for small amounts, don’t overcomplicate things. Use a hardware wallet first, at least to fix the problem of “accidentally granting authorization”;
If your assets grow a bit and you don’t want to rely solely on memorizing seed phrases, social recovery is quite suitable, but only if you truly trust those few people—don’t end up with a “social recovery failure”;
For larger amounts, or if it’s team/family assets, multi-signature is more reliable. Transfers should require multiple approvals, although it’s more trouble, but trouble itself is a moat.

Anyway, I’m currently just dollar-cost averaging plus rebalancing. I don’t seek excitement in my positions, and I set up security measures in advance as much as possible. I’d rather be slow than be forced to “calm down” one day.
