$NEAR has absolutely exploded today, sitting at around 2.19 after a massive 28% pump in the last 24 hours. Looking at the chart, this thing just broke out in a huge way with a strong green candle that smashed through previous resistance levels around 1.97-2.00. The volume is solid too, which gives this move some real conviction.
The daily chart shows NEAR climbing steadily over the past few weeks but this latest surge is something else. It's currently trading near the 24-hour high of 2.214 and has left the 24-hour low of 1.707 way behind. The Bollinger Bands are widening nicely with price hugging the upper band, and while the RSI at 91 is screaming overbought territory, in strong trending markets like this it can stay elevated for a while before pulling back.
Overall this looks like a proper breakout for NEAR after consolidating for some time. The Layer 1 narrative seems to be catching fresh interest and the momentum is clearly bullish right now. Of course with RSI this high we could see some profit taking soon, but the structure of this move feels pretty strong. Watching to see if it can hold above 2.10-2.15 in the coming sessions.
