According to Beating monitor, OpenAI's next-generation model GPT-5.6 (internal code name iris-alpha) has made significant breakthroughs in UI design generation, solving the previous issue of poor front-end output quality. In its latest version, the model generated a minimalist note-taking app called Lumen Notes, featuring a mature grid layout and refined aesthetic style—creating a stark contrast to the cluttered and formulaic interfaces commonly seen in generative AI outputs. This improvement reflects OpenAI's focus on overcoming limitations in front-end code generation. GPT-5.6 is expected to be officially released in June and will directly compete with Anthropic's Claude Artifacts in high-quality, production-ready code generation.
