I just got educated by myself again: stop-loss is really like a breakup—stalling while pretending it’s not over, still holding out hope in my heart. The longer you drag it, the more it hurts, and you end up having to pay extra “interest” (time cost + emotional cost). Others think that since I use quant, I can always catch the timing and run exactly on cue. In reality, I still hesitate for half a day before I finally press that one button. Airdrop season is the same too—task platforms have anti-bot/anti-Sybil measures and an points system, so the “profit-from-airdrops” crowd competes like it’s clocking in for work… Now I’m more inclined to hard-code the rules: once triggered, leave. I’d rather take a small loss than let a bad trade ruin my mindset for the whole day. That’s it for now.
