CoinWorld News: OpenAI’s newly tested next-generation large model GPT-5.6 (internally developed under the code name iris-alpha) has made a significant breakthrough in front-end interface generation, achieving a notable UI de-Sloping effect. With no UI guidance prompts in its default state, the new model directly generated the interface of a note-taking app called Lumen Notes, featuring an extremely minimalist design and carefully considered typography. Compared with the cluttered, formulaic web pages produced by previous generative AI, GPT-5.6 displays an exceptionally mature grid layout and a refined design aesthetic, and it comes across as very restrained. The new model is expected to be officially released in June; at that time, it will directly compete with Anthropic’s Claude in the Artifacts interactive generation experience, providing users with highly aesthetic, directly reusable front-end code.

Achieving this effect without UI guidance hints that the model truly understands what good design is, not just stacking elements.

Anthropic: I just finished the Artifacts interaction, and OpenAI immediately flipped the table over the aesthetics?

Frontend developers rejoice, no more staying up until midnight tweaking CSS; just let AI generate usable code directly.

The code name iris-alpha is quite interesting, is it iris recognition or Greek mythology? Waiting for real-world testing.

Lumen Notes is a good name; the light-sensing design is indeed much better than the previous plastic feel.

The term "UI de-Slop-ification" is so precise; finally, I don't have to look at those ugly gradient buttons generated by AI anymore.

Grid layout + restrained aesthetics, this description makes me think of Swiss design, AI has finally had an epiphany.

Releasing in June? Claude is under a lot of pressure, and just as Artifacts is gaining loyal users, it’s about to be snatched away.
