These days, someone keeps urging me, "Why is the cross-chain still waiting for confirmation?" I actually understand that kind of anxiety, but to be honest, cross-chain bridges are essentially a gamble on the tacit understanding between people and machines: if the multi-signature signers are too centralized, it's not much different from a single point of failure; if the oracle feeds incorrect data, the on-chain system can only accept it blindly. Waiting for confirmation isn't being pretentious; it's leaving a window to stop if something seems off, at least to avoid throwing all your assets in during the most emotional moments.

Recently, discussions around privacy coins, mixing, and compliance have also been quite divisive—some see it as freedom, others see it as a minefield. I'm more worried that if something goes wrong with the bridge, the final scapegoat will still be ordinary users, and even the enthusiasm for storytelling will be drained. What about you?
