Today’s review showed that some people still complain that cross-chain bridges are "slow." Frankly, when you click that "wait for confirmation," it's not the platform being slow; it's giving time for multi-signature / oracle / on-chain finality. No matter how decentralized multi-signature is, it still reflects "human nature of the keys," and you have to assume someone might make mistakes or even act maliciously; oracles seem very technical, but really it's just "who reports the data, and what to do if they report it wrong." Once the source feeds incorrect data, the stuff minted on the bridge side is as fragile as paper. Modularization and the development of the DA layer have been exciting for developers lately, but it's normal for ordinary users to be confused. Ultimately, when it comes to implementation, you still have to ask: when your assets cross over, who guarantees the backing, who is responsible if something goes wrong, and can it be rolled back? (I always take a deep breath before cross-chain transfers.) Anyway, I now prefer to be a bit slower, wait for a few more confirmations, and avoid rushing for those few minutes of excitement.
