This round of meme hype has heated up again, I actually don't want to participate much, but sometimes I get the itch. To be honest, I can't predict how long the narrative can last, so my stop-loss is even more conservative: think clearly before entering the market "how much can I lose at worst," leave when the time is right, don't argue with myself. If I win, I’ll just consider it luck; if I lose, don’t get emotional and add to my position to average down, eventually it becomes a belief...
Recently, the disputes over NFT royalties also seem quite similar, everyone wants to have it both ways: creators want income, trading needs liquidity, and the result is that every time things heat up, someone is pushed to make decisions by emotions. Anyway, I trust data a bit more, especially cold metrics like fees/revenue, at least they won't change just because I’m in a good mood. I also rely on intuition, but only to remind myself “this wave is a bit lively.” That’s it for now.
