I just queued on-chain again for “punishment”… The moment I clicked confirm, I started spacing out at the mempool: it first showed pending, and then I watched helplessly as the same transaction got cut in line by others using a higher fee. My order was like being stuck in the far-right lane of a highway traffic jam—by the time I wanted to change lanes, it was already too late. Worse still, you think you’re just slow, but once slippage widens, the second the trade executes, my mindset completely shatters.

Recently, hardware wallets have been out of stock again, there are more phishing links, and with so many people in the group rushing to operate, it’s even easier to fumble and click the wrong thing. I’m actually choosing to go slower now: double-check the addresses twice, and don’t rush in just to get through one fast—otherwise you’ll end up sending yourself into a trap.

Next time, I should check congestion before placing an order, set the fee high enough, and don’t blindly chase. If I really need to change it, use a replace-by-fee transaction… When you’re stuck in traffic, do you usually tough it out, or just cancel the order and wait for the next wave?
