Stop-loss really feels like a breakup; the more you drag it out, the more you think "maybe if I wait a bit longer, they'll come back," but in the end, not only does your heart get tired, you're also gradually cut by interest rates/funding rates. Recently, I've noticed spot/derivative fee rates are becoming extreme again, and the group is arguing over whether to reverse or continue to inflate the bubble. I now basically don't guess the plot; I prefer to trim my positions to a level where I can sleep peacefully. If I'm wrong, I admit it, and leave some liquidity (cash flow) to pour back in. Anyway, those who can survive long-term are mostly not gifted, but disciplined and habitual.
