SEC Pauses Novel ETF Reviews to Seek Public Comment, Atkins Says

SEC Chair Paul Atkins said on May 20 that the agency is pausing review of newly filed ETF applications, including prediction market funds, to gather public comment before deciding how to proceed. Atkins said novel products raise novel questions. Earlier delays affected prediction market ETF filings from Bitwise, Roundhill Investments, and GraniteShares.
