I was earning testnet points until my fingers went numb, and only then did I realize that once “practice” turns into “expectation,” people are very easy to get hooked. I originally wanted to get familiar with the interactions, but my brain was just filled with “Don’t miss the airdrop season.” A beginner’s misunderstanding is this: points = future money you can exchange, so doing more means earning more. My current understanding is: points are at most just raffle tickets—once anti-bot/anti-sybil measures kick in, even if you grind like it’s a job, it could end up being wasted effort.

So my stop-loss is pretty straightforward and a bit “old-school”: I set a limit of 30 minutes per day / a maximum of X interactions; if I go over, I just close the page. No matter how expensive the Gas is, or how many task-platform notification sounds I hear, I treat it all as if I didn’t notice… Anyway, my name isn’t for nothing—first I’ll learn how to make fewer moves.
