According to Jin10, on May 21, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry Johari in Suzhou. Both sides discussed deepening bilateral economic and trade relations. Wang Wentao proposed implementing the “China-Malaysia Economic and Trade Cooperation Five-Year Plan (2024-2028)” and welcomed Malaysia’s participation in the China Import and Export Fair and related export promotion activities. Johari said he hopes to further deepen cooperation in traditional areas such as trade and investment, expand partnerships in emerging fields such as advanced manufacturing, and welcome more Chinese enterprises to invest in Malaysia.
