Foreign reports indicate that the artificial intelligence (AI) technology startup Anthropic is likely to complete its latest fundraising round as early as next week, with the amount raised possibly exceeding $30 billion. The company’s valuation would be over $90 billion, surpassing competitor OpenAI to become the globally highest-valued AI startup.

Sequoia Capital, Dragoneer Investment, Altimeter Capital, and Greenoaks Capital Partners are expected to jointly lead the funding round, with each firm planning to invest about $2 billion. Many of Anthropic’s other existing investors are also expected to participate in this round, including Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund and General Catalyst.

Total investment for this round is expected to exceed Anthropic’s earlier target of $30 billion.
