On the same day, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) unanimously recommended that he serve as Chair. Trump nominated Kevin Warsh on March 4, 2026. He was confirmed by the Senate as a member of the Board on May 12 and confirmed as Chair on May 13. His term as Chair ends on May 21, 2030, and his term as a Board member ends on January 31, 2040.
