Last night I was "called out by on-chain data" again... I stared at the wallet transfer for a long time with no movement, almost thought the other party ran away, but then I switched to a different RPC and immediately saw a string of records. To put it simply, what you see as "on-chain" is often just nodes/indexes queuing to output data, not that the chain has really stopped. Some RPCs also cache data, so a delay of a few tens of seconds to a minute or two is very common, especially during peak times, which is even more outrageous.

So now when I look at funds moving on the chain, I first compare two sources: one is a browser + one is a frequently used RPC. If they don't match, don't get too excited yet. Recently, there's been talk of increased taxes and tighter or relaxed compliance in certain regions. When everyone is tense about deposits and withdrawals, on-chain activity becomes even denser, and the denser it is, the more likely it is to be "late." You might think smart money hasn't moved, but actually, it's just that your side hasn't refreshed yet... Anyway, I’ll hold back my impulse, take a sip of coffee, and then confirm again.
