Just checked the gold rates from Rawalpindi and Islamabad back in early January. The pond pasa gold rate in Pakistan was sitting around 454,300 for the 24K version, while the regular pasa tola hit 469,000. If you were tracking 10 gram pond pasa, it was going for about 389,490, with the 24K gram pasa at 402,090. Silver was moving in the 9,900 to 10,200 range during that period. Pretty interesting to see how these price points were holding around that time according to the Markazi Sarafa union data. The gold rate fluctuations always give you a sense of where the market sentiment was heading.
