Lately I've been a bit conflicted: the mainnet feels like an old-school aristocrat, full of security, but once you go on-chain it’s like buying a "gas blind box" for yourself—tremble and your wallet shrinks first. Layer 2 is much more comfortable, just a couple of clicks, the experience is like a pixel game with acceleration turned on, but I also worry about some mishap at the bridge... So now it's basically: small daily transactions and trying new narratives on L2, big and long-term ones still sticking to the mainnet, expensive but I can sleep peacefully.

By the way, the community is again arguing about privacy coins/mixing and the compliance line—basically, everyone wants "freedom," but also fears trouble knocking on their door. My current compromise is: avoid gray-area tools as much as possible, stick to legitimate paths when possible—after all, I just want to explore new things, not get caught in a KYC black hole.
