Israeli military attacks southern Lebanon, killing 11; Iron Dome system attacked by drone

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, Israel launched airstrikes on multiple areas in southern Lebanon from late Thursday night to Friday, resulting in at least 11 deaths, including 6 medical and rescue personnel, and several injuries.

Additionally, the Lebanese Ministry of Health issued a statement saying that the Israeli military attacked an area near the Tibrin government hospital in southern Lebanon, causing severe damage to the hospital and injuring 9 people, including 7 hospital staff members.

On the other hand, Lebanon's Hezbollah-affiliated Lantern TV reported that Hezbollah fighters used drones on Friday to attack and confirmed hitting an Israeli military base in northern Israel with the "Iron Dome" missile defense system.

The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement saying that starting around 5 p.m. on Friday, air raid sirens sounded in several northern regions of Israel. Subsequently, the IDF intercepted two suspicious aerial targets launched from Lebanon toward Israel. There were also reports of several suspicious aerial targets falling on the Israeli side of the Israel-Lebanon border.

According to Channel 12 in Israel, five drones were launched from Lebanon into Israel on Friday afternoon, of which two were intercepted, and the rest fell in the border area.
