Just saw that Elon Musk is taking the Tesla Tiny Houses seriously. The project will actually be rolled out in 2026, and the first models should come to market this year. What’s interesting is that the pricing strategy is pretty aggressive—the base version is supposed to start at around $7,999.

The houses come in various sizes between 26 and 76 square meters, which could be practical for many people. What fascinates me most: they’re equipped from the very beginning with solar panels and Powerwall storage systems. That means they can run completely autonomously on renewable energy. There’s also a rainwater system.

The concept behind it is actually brilliant—Musk wants to create housing that doesn’t come with constant financial strain. No high utility costs, no dependence on the power grid. For broad segments of the population, this could truly be a game-changer.

The houses are also built to withstand extreme weather events, which makes sense given climate change. It’ll be exciting to see how the project plays out in practice. Elon Musk’s tiny houses could actually set a new standard for sustainable living. I’m curious to see how quickly demand will start up.
