just realized i never actually knew what 1k meant 💀 been seeing it everywhere on social media, youtube, crypto communities, and i was just nodding along. turns out k is literally just short for kilo = thousand. so 1k is 1,000, 10k is 10,000, that kind of thing.

then there's million (1m = 1,000,000) and billion (1b = 1,000,000,000). honestly it's wild how much these numbers matter when you're tracking followers, views, or portfolio value. like when people say a coin hit 1k sats or some project raised 1 million in funding, you actually need to know what that means.

if you're into crypto, freelancing, or just scrolling through social media, you'll see 1k and these other terms constantly. kinda embarrassing i didn't know this sooner lol. but yeah, simple breakdown: 1k = thousand, 1m = million, 1b = billion. bookmark this if you need it 🤷
