Many people involved in gold, digital currency, and forex trading repeatedly face margin calls; the root cause is being controlled by the human weakness of loss aversion: being timid when making money, rushing to take profits on small gains; being stubborn when losing, gambling on the market, holding on without cutting losses, ultimately turning small losses into big ones, falling into a trading deadlock.
Relying on willpower to suppress emotions simply doesn't work. To achieve stable profits, the core is to establish fixed trading rules, use systems to constrain operations, and clearly understand the five key points before opening a position:
1. Set the trend: distinguish whether the market is trending or consolidating, clarify the trading direction, follow the trend, and if you can't understand it, stay on the sidelines and observe, avoiding chasing highs and selling lows.
2. Find key levels: mark key support and resistance levels in advance, wait until the price reaches the planned levels before considering action, and avoid trading in invalid market conditions.
3. Wait for signals: reaching a price level doesn't mean entering immediately; observe for stable, reversal, or other effective entry patterns, and do not place impulsive orders without signals.
4. Set profit and loss targets: determine stop-loss and take-profit levels before opening a position, and do not arbitrarily change stop-loss lines during trading, maintaining risk boundaries.
5. Control position size: manage the size of each trade, keep losses within a reasonable proportion of the account, avoid over-leveraging, and do not add to losing positions.
The true difference in trading is not in technical indicators or strategies, but in mindset control and execution ability. Recognize your own weaknesses such as greed, fear, and luck, accept small losses, abandon non-standard market conditions, strictly adhere to trading discipline over the long term, control risks well, and abandon the mindset of gambling for quick riches. Only then can you escape the cycle of small profits and large losses, and achieve long-term steady trading.
