Is it really necessary to max out multi-signature and social recovery right from the start with your current assets? I think it's better not to make security a "sense of ceremony" but to choose more reliable options based on whether you'll actually stick with them.

Recently, hardware wallets are out of stock again, and there are still frequent phishing links in the group chat. Honestly, the biggest danger isn't not being able to buy the device, but the slip of the hand in the few seconds when you rush to place an order or click a link. If your assets aren't large and you're too lazy to fuss, hardware wallets plus separate storage of seed phrases are enough; once the amount increases (especially the part that remains inactive long-term), multi-signature is more like "locking yourself in a safe," but the setup and collaboration costs are also not low. Social recovery sounds very gentle and is suitable for those afraid of losing seed phrases, but "finding someone to be a guardian" is more troublesome than expected... For someone like me who drags voting until the last hour, I tend to forget about complex schemes. It's better to first establish basic isolation and habits.
