CFTC, DOJ Sue Minnesota Over Prediction Market Ban

The CFTC and the Department of Justice sued Minnesota, arguing the state cannot regulate prediction markets because those derivatives markets fall under federal authority. The lawsuit was filed less than 24 hours after Governor Walz signed bill SF 4760, which is set to ban prediction markets starting Aug. 1.
