Btrust Names New Board to Complete Bitcoin Development Governance Transition

Btrust appointed Janet Maingi, Bruno Garcia, and Laurence Aderemi to its new board, completing the governance handover for the nonprofit created with a 500 BTC endowment. The multi-week transition ended April 30, 2026, and included budget reviews, documentation consolidation, and the start of an independent audit. Btrust said the new board will guide grantmaking and oversight of its Builders Programme as the organization expands its Bitcoin development work.
