CCTV revealed issues with the aging-friendly project in Mianyang on May 22; the city has launched an investigation.
According to reports, on May 22, there were major problems with the elderly adaptation project in Taian County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, including inaccurate needs assessment, idle products, and inflated procurement prices.
In response, the Mianyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have established a dedicated task force to investigate the implementation of the project and carry out comprehensive rectification.
Mianyang promised to hold accountable any dereliction of duty or violations found during the investigation and stated that it will strengthen the long-term supervision mechanism to protect residents' interests.
