If you ask yourself who is the person that changed the course of multiple industries at the same time, the answer is clear: Elon Musk. This billionaire did not limit himself to a single field; instead, he founded and managed multiple organizations that left a deep mark on our world.
Let’s start with Tesla, which was founded in 2003 and became the top name when it comes to electric vehicles. Under Musk’s leadership, it is no longer just a car company, but a symbol of sustainable energy. Famous models like S, 3, X, and Y changed people’s expectations of what an electric car can do. In addition to advanced batteries, Tesla acquired SolarCity to expand the scope of its energy solutions.
As for SpaceX, which Musk founded in 2002, it changed our idea of space exploration. Reusable rockets like Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy were not just a dream, but a reality experienced by astronauts who launch toward the International Space Station. And now, the company is working on Starship, which will pave the way to Mars.
In 2016, Musk founded The Boring Company with a simple but bold idea: solving traffic congestion from underground. The first project was the tunnel under Las Vegas, known as Vegas Loop, which uses Hyperloop technology to transport passengers quickly.
In the same year, Musk launched Neuralink, a company specializing in connecting the human brain to technology. The vision here is ambitious: helping people who suffer from paralysis and restoring their cognitive functions through implantable devices.
When Musk acquired Twitter in a deal worth about $44 billion in 2022, he renamed it X in 2023. These organizations that he founded or invested in reflect his comprehensive vision. He changed the advertising model and the way accounts are verified, and now he aims to turn X into an all-encompassing platform offering multiple services.
Let’s not forget that Musk helped found OpenAI, a research organization specializing in artificial intelligence. Although he later left the company, OpenAI has become a major player in the field—especially after the development of GPT, which has become the foundation of many intelligent applications today.
What truly sets Elon Musk apart is his ability to create diverse organizations, each targeting real challenges. From sustainable energy to space to artificial intelligence, the institutions built under his leadership represent a unified vision for a better future. That’s why his impact goes beyond just numbers and money—it extends to how we think about the future itself.
