Recently, in the secondary market, NFT royalties keep getting slashed lower and lower, and the creators over there are arguing pretty fiercely. I’m not really taking sides—plainly speaking, people who trade just want to pay less—but if you really treat royalties as something you can do without, then in the end all that’s left is pure image speculation, and the community becomes even more fragmented. Even more awkward is that everyone is shouting that they support creators, while at the same time they watch the staking and token unlock calendar day after day, constantly worrying about sell pressure—so all the emotions end up written right into the candlestick chart. Anyway, before I buy now, I make sure to screenshot the rules and save them, so if the platform changes its wording later, there won’t be any room to quibble without evidence. If I can avoid participating, I just avoid it and save my mindset.
