Qatari Negotiators Arrive in Tehran to Assist in US-Iran Agreement

On May 22, a source revealed to Reuters that a Qatari negotiating delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday, coordinated with the United States, to assist in facilitating an agreement aimed at ending the conflict between the US and Iran and addressing unresolved issues. Doha has previously acted as a mediator in the Gaza conflict and other international tensions, but has so far avoided playing a mediating role in the Iran conflict after being targeted by Iranian missile and drone attacks during recent hostilities.
