In 2010, Tesla went public with an IPO valuation of only $1.58 billion.

At the same time, the top of the US stock market was ExxonMobil at $291.8 billion, Apple at $228.9 billion, Microsoft at $201.7 billion, and even the tenth-ranked JPMorgan Chase at $145.7 billion.
Tesla back then was only 1/92 of JPMorgan Chase.
Looking back today, it’s quite striking: great companies often start small enough to make most people feel they’re not worth betting on.
But SPCACEX’s IPO valuation was directly in the top ten.
