Just came across something interesting about how Ronaldo actually sleeps. Turns out he's not doing the typical 8-hour thing at all. Instead, this guy takes 5-6 naps throughout the day, each one clocking in at 90 minutes. Pretty unconventional, right?

His sleep coach Nick Littlehales basically designed this whole system around the idea that shorter, structured sleep sessions actually work better for recovery. The thinking is that your brain gets what it needs faster this way, and you avoid those brutal afternoon energy crashes.

What's wild is how specific he gets with it. Ronaldo sleeps in the fetal position, keeps the room dark, and here's the thing - he won't touch screens for 90 minutes before bed. And when it really matters, like before a match, he prefers sleeping completely alone with zero distractions.

I mean, when you think about it, this approach kind of makes sense for elite athletes. You're basically front-loading your recovery instead of trying to cram it all into one long sleep. Ronaldo sleeping this way has apparently become part of his whole performance optimization strategy, and given his career trajectory, seems like it's working.

Makes you wonder if this could work for regular people too, or if it's really just a pro athlete thing. Either way, pretty fascinating how much detail goes into peak performance these days.
