These days, the on-chain congestion has started again. I’ve been watching the mempool for a while, and it feels like a morning rush hour line: you think clicking "Send" is the end, but actually you’ve just entered the waiting hall. First, the transaction gets stuck there waiting for someone to pick it up (miners/validators prioritize those who tip more), if you tip less, it keeps getting pushed back; halfway through, it might even be "cut in line" by someone else (replacing the original with a higher fee), and even when you see it about to be confirmed, it gets reorganized back into unconfirmed… It’s pretty frustrating.
Honestly, congestion tests human nature the most: on one hand, afraid of missing out on hot opportunities; on the other, afraid of being the last one in line. Especially with this wave of memes and celebrity endorsements, many newcomers get nervous and jump in, only to have their emotions collapse while waiting in line, starting to add fees randomly or cancel orders impulsively. Anyway, I’d rather go slow now, make sure the path and amount are correct first, and not let the rush push me into a trap.
