NIO reports consecutive second quarter profit; strong sales of a single model support performance

**【Caixin】**In the first three months of 2026, NIO (09866.HK /NYSE: NIO) delivered 83,000 vehicles, up 98.3% year over year; due to an increased share of sales of high–gross margin models, the company’s vehicle sales revenue rose 129.2% year over year to 22.78 billion yuan. On May 21, NIO released its first-quarter financial report, disclosing the above data.

NIO began with the high-end NIO brand, and then successively launched a second brand, Letao, targeting the mass market, as well as a third brand, Firefly, targeting premium small cars. In the first quarter of 2026, NIO, Letao, and Firefly sold 58,000, 13,000, and 11,000 vehicles respectively.
