Lately, I've been really overwhelmed by multi-chain wallets, assets scattered like coins everywhere: some on the mainnet, some on Layer 2, a few locked in DeFi. When I try to take stock, I start to get anxious... When there's too much information, I subconsciously make chaotic operations, which is even more terrifying than losing money. Now I have a simple method: only keep two frequently used wallets, and treat the others as "cold drawers." Every week on a fixed day, I jot down the balances, positions, and approvals in about one line, and conveniently revoke unused permissions. Recently, on-chain data tools and tagging systems have been criticized for being laggy and misleading, so I don't trust one-click profiling. I prefer to manually verify key transactions myself. Basically, I use rules to bind myself; otherwise, I might impulsively hit stop-loss and confess to myself again.
