I've been interested in mobile mining for a long time, and here's what I've noticed: mining cryptocurrencies on a smartphone isn't very effective, but some people still try. The main problem is the huge competition; you need to keep your phone on for about 8 hours a day, plus the risks of scams. But there are people who see potential in this, especially considering hardware development and new algorithms.
If you decide to try it anyway, there are several popular apps. CryptoTab is one of the most well-known; just install it and start mining, plus you can invite friends. There are cloud mining apps like StormGain and Bitdeer—they're easier to use but require rebooting every 4 hours. NiceHash is convenient because it has a built-in profitability calculator, but be sure to enable two-factor authentication.
On Android, the process is simple: choose an app, install it, create an account, enter your wallet address, and start. On iPhone, it's much more complicated due to Apple restrictions—mainly only cloud mining works there. You need to select the amount of hash power to rent and link your wallet.
Regarding which cryptocurrency is easiest to mine—according to reviews, it's Monero (XMR), Dogecoin (DOGE), Vertcoin (VTC), and Ravencoin (RVN). But consider the electricity costs in your region and the current coin price.
Overall, a mining app for a phone is more of a way to earn a little extra money rather than a serious income source. One Bitcoin mined on a smartphone takes a very long time, so it's better to use cloud services if you're serious. The main thing is not to rush into a decision; study everything carefully before starting. Only you can decide what position to take on this issue.
