Deep Tide TechFlow news: On May 22, FinanceFeeds reported that an attempted kidnapping took place in Villeparisis, Seine-et-Marne, France, targeting the wife of Sebastien Borget, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of The Sandbox. Five masked assailants disguised as delivery personnel broke into the residence and attempted to forcibly drag her into a getaway vehicle, but the plot was foiled due to nearby residents responding promptly to her cries for help. Afterward, the anti-crime unit of Mo City, France intercepted a ride-hailing vehicle and arrested two suspects who were found to be carrying imitation guns, zip ties, and balaclavas. Investigation showed that all the suspects were minors born between 2009 and 2010. According to statistics from the French National Judicial Police, France has recorded 41 crypto-related attempted kidnappings this year, accounting for about 80% of similar cases in Europe. Authorities have classified the incident as a national security crisis and urged Web3 public figures to reduce online exposure to protect their families’ safety.
