The process is quite simple. First, you create a concept — what your character will be like, their personality, backstory. Then choose technology that fits your budget and needs. The next step is designing the avatar — customizing hair, clothing, accessories to match the concept. Use motion capture to add lively animations and expressions to the character.

Once everything is ready, you need a quiet recording space with sufficient lighting. Practice controlling the character’s gestures and facial expressions until you feel comfortable. Then start producing content — it could be gameplay videos, live streams, vlogs, or other formats. The key is interacting with viewers, collaborating with other VTubers, and marketing your channel on social media.

Compared to traditional YouTubers, VTubers have their own advantages. They can change their avatars, keep their real identities secret, and build entirely fictional characters. However, VTubing requires higher technical skills and a larger initial investment.
