This move by Codex is interesting: temporary unlocking on mobile, black screen projection, full blocking of local input, so the terminal can't be touched— the boundaries of the invisible sandbox are drawn very strictly, making it both remote and restricted, with a good sense of balance.

OpenAI launches Codex black screen lock screen takeover feature, preventing physical eavesdropping and locking when physical keys are pressed
CryptoWorld reports that OpenAI Codex has launched a locked state screen control: when the Mac is locked and blacked out, it can be securely remotely accessed via mobile. Apple-authorized plugins deeply integrate into the unlocking process, allowing temporary unlocking on the mobile device to run the target application, while blocking local input and projecting a black overlay on all displays to maintain the appearance. Unlocking is only enabled during mobile authentication; if keyboard or mouse activity is detected, an alert will be triggered and the screen will be relocked, pausing operations until manually unlocked. This mechanism is a restricted invisible sandbox, unable to take over terminal applications or affect Codex.
