I noticed that the question of extraterrestrials regularly comes up in debates, especially with the UFO videos circulating online. Conspiracy theorists are convinced that governments are hiding the truth about extraterrestrial civilizations, but honestly, many people remain very skeptical of these claims.

Elon Musk, for example, recently shared his view on the subject, and it's quite relevant. On X, he raises a logical argument: if extraterrestrials were really visiting us, why would we have no solid evidence? Musk notes that today, billions of people own smartphones with cameras – the number of witnesses should skyrocket, right? Yet, the UFO videos floating around on YouTube remain strangely blurry and unconvincing. It’s true that it’s a weird coincidence.

Elon Musk also adds that the distances between star systems are so enormous that an alien spacecraft would struggle to reach us with a living crew. The argument holds up from a physical standpoint.

What interests me is that even Edward Snowden, who had access to classified information from the CIA, NSA, and military, confirmed in 2019 during an interview with Joe Rogan that he found no convincing evidence of extraterrestrials on Earth. But – and this is important – he acknowledged that there’s probably something unexplained lurking around.

The interesting thing is that the Pentagon has still released documents and videos showing encounters between pilots and UFOs, acknowledging that these objects could have an extraterrestrial origin. So even authorities admit that strange things are happening.

On their side, astronomers have scanned millions of stars searching for signals of extraterrestrial life and have found nothing so far. Between Elon Musk’s logical stance and scientific data, we’re in a gray area: something unexplained might exist, but the evidence is still lacking. It’s the kind of debate that will probably continue for a long time.
