To keep the position alive, he moved 616,675 HYPE worth around $36.76M into Hyperliquid and sold almost all of it, leaving only about 53.33K HYPE ($3.06M) untouched.
Most of that capital appears to have gone straight into supporting the short and pushing the liquidation level further away as HYPE keeps climbing.
Even after all that, the position is still enormous: a 1.8M HYPE short worth roughly $103.7M. The unrealized loss has eased a bit to around $22M, while the liquidation price now sits at $83.33.
What’s interesting is that he still holds another 626,289 aHYPE worth close to $40M. So if HYPE keeps moving higher, there’s a good chance more spot selling could happen just to defend the short again.
