Wang Chun will participate in SpaceX's first crewed interstellar flight, flying past Mars and then returning to Earth.
BlockBeats News, May 22 — SpaceX announced that co-founder Wang Chun of F2Pool will participate in SpaceX's first interstellar crewed mission and will serve as the mission commander, executing a flight lasting approximately two years: first exploring beyond the Earth-Moon system, then flying past Mars before returning to Earth.
This is Starship's first commercial crewed interstellar mission. Wang Chun previously commanded the Fram2 polar orbit mission in 2025 (the first human crewed flight crossing Earth's North and South Poles), gaining experience for this upcoming flight.
