American lawmakers introduce the "U.S. Reserve Modernization Act" aiming to officially codify strategic Bitcoin reserves into law
On May 22, U.S. Representative Nick Begich officially introduced the "American Reserve Modernization Act" (ARMA), supported by 16 co-sponsors. The bill aims to formally legislate the strategic Bitcoin reserve established by Trump through an executive order, integrate digital assets held by the federal government, lock in a long-term reserve of at least 20 years, explore budget-neutral Bitcoin procurement, and establish a reserve mechanism to prevent future governments or Congress from arbitrarily liquidating it.
